History: Trout is a cousin of Queen Taiga.

When The War of Patience broke out, he was pressed into a commander role despite having no military experience. Many of the dragons who serve under him resent him for this.

When Queen Golden offered to surrender the Gift of Patience, the diplomat Blizzard was sent to the Kingdom of Sand to arrange the terms of the surrender. Trout was sent with her as a bodyguard. However, upon arriving at the Sandwing Stronghold, it was revealed that The Gift of Patience had been stolen. The Sandwings managed to arrest Blizzard, but Trout escaped.
