Queen Taiga is a small Icewing, with a thin build. Despite her stature, her fierce nature lends her an undeniable sense of presence. Her shimmering scales range from white to a deep blue. She wears an intricate crown that she personally had commissioned from a respected artisan.

She is descended from Queen Snowfall.

She is largely considered to be responsible for The War of Patience. When she got word that the Sandwings had found The Gift of Patience, she demanded that they hand it over. She felt that since it had been created and enchanted by the Icewings, it rightfully belonged to their kingdom.

The Sandwings and Icewings held a summit in the Skywing Kingdom, hosted by Queen Pyrope. They agreed that they should each make their case to a neutral third party, who would then decide who got to keep The Gift. However, when it appeared that Queen Pyrope was going to rule in favor of the Sandwings, Queen Taiga was enraged and attacked the other members of the summit before fleeing in a rage. This was the start of The War of Patience.

She allied with the Venomwings at their request. They offered to support her efforts in the war if she would grant them a piece of the Sky Kingdom's land in return.

Recently, Queen Golden sent a message to Queen Taiga, offering to surrender. The Sandwings would hand over The Gift of Patience in exchange for an end to the war. Queen Taiga sent a diplomat to The Kingdom of Sand to discuss the terms of surrender, however, the diplomat was arrested after arrival in The Kingdom of Sand.

The Sandwings claimed that The Gift of Patience was missing, and accused the Icewings of having stolen it in order to have a reason to perpetuate the war. Queen Taiga was enraged by the accusation. She believes the Sandwings have hidden The Gift away somewhere.
