The current queen of the Sky Kingdom.

Queen Pyrope can have an intense, intimidating air about her. She often speaks in a way that seems harsh and cold.

Queen Pyrope's predecessor was Queen Ruby, who was greatly respected and admired by the dragons of the Sky Kingdom. Queen Pyrope often does the right thing not for its own sake, but out of jealousy for Queen Ruby's reputation. She wants to be just as beloved as the queen who came before her.

Queen Pyrope has a husband named Promontory, and together they have a single child, named Princess Pinnacle. Pyrope adores Pinnacle, and dotes on her often. She will not tolerate anyone being unkind or disrespectful toward Pinnacle.

A few days after Princess Pinnacle hatched, Queen Pyrope held a summit between the Kingdom of Sand and the Kingdom of Ice. The purpose of an object called The Gift of Patience. The Gift was a purple fur-lined cloak, encanted by an Icewing animus many years ago. It had been given to the Kingdom of Sand in a deal that has long been forgotten. It was lost with the rest of the treasure that disappeared when Queen Oasis was killed, around 100 years ago. Only recently was it recovered. The Icewings argued that when the Sandwings lost the gift, they lost their claim on it, while the Sandwings felt that since they were the ones to recover it, there was no legitimate reason for the Icewings to demand it from them.

Queen Pyrope ruled in favor of the Sandwings. This enraged the Icewing queen, Queen Taiga, who ordered an attack on the Sandwings and the Skywings at the summit before returning to her own kingdom. Soon she started sending soldier to try and take the Gift by force, leading to what is now known as The War of Patience. Queen Pyrope, who had already decided to support the Sandwing's claim to the Gift, and angry about being attacked in her own palace, allied herself with The Kingdom of Sand, and lent them her forces to help defend them from Queen Taiga.

More recently, the Kingdom of Ice has taken to attacking Skywings along their border, evidently trying to claim land along the shoreline.

Just a few weeks ago, Queen Pyrope recived news that The Gift of Patience has disappeared from the Sandwing treasury. Queen Pyrope has agreed to support them in reclaiming the Gift from The Kingdom of Ice, and has sent a pair of soldiers, Alexandrite and Crag, to help find out where the Gift has been hidden.
