Appearance:

Personality: Ambitious, cunning, and fierce, Gull has a high level of confidence in his own capabilities. He is prone to being sulky and easily frustrated, though he is careful to maintain a neutral, respectful facade when in the presence of important dragons. Beneath his composed exterior, he harbors a deep-seated resentment toward the traditional power structures of the Kingdom.

Relationships:
Family Tree
Queen Auklet: Gull's mother, and the queen of the Kingdom of the Sea. Auklet tries to be kind to Gull, but doesn't really understand his grievances.

Princess Tern: Gull's younger sister. Gull doesn't hate her, but does think she wouldn't be able to allocate her attention properly if she were the queen.

Princess Kittiwake: Gull's other sister. He considers her flighty and airheaded.

Papaya: Gull's half-Rainwing cousin. Gull recognizes that Papaya is competant. He also notices that Papaya finds him exhausting, which he finds frustrating. He does think Papaya takes the egalitarian mission of the Shoreline Palace too seriously, and wishes he were more committed to the Kingdom of the Sea.

Undertow: Recent acquaintance. A history teacher at Jade Mountain Acadamy. Gull has noticed that Undertow seems to truly listen when he speaks, in a way that he feels that most dragons don't.

History: As the oldest child of the Queen, Gull grew up with a front-row seat to the monarchy, eventually coming to believe that neither of his sisters possessed the focus or discipline required to rule. When he expressed these feelings to his mother, she did not disagree with him, but simply told him to be glad that he would never have to bear the burden of the crown. While Gull attempted to maintain a respectful exterior, this comment enraged him. He was tempted to challenge his mother then and there, but he knew that even if she accepted and he won, the Seawing populace would not easily accept a male leader. So instead, he decided to bide his time and search for a different solution.

He has recently relocated to the Shoreline Palace on the border of the Mud Kingdom. While he ostensibly moved there to help his cousin Papaya manage the facility and find a new path to influence, his presence is largely ornamental. Frustrated by the palace’s efficiency, he spends much of his time skulking through the halls, acting as a minor headache for the staff while he calculates his next move.
