Age: 139 (Elder) (Hatched in 4991 AS)
Type: Skywing
Gender: Female (she/her)
Abilities: Standard Skywing abilities
Born: Sky Kingdom

Appearance: Alexandrite has a rugged, seasoned look with deep red-orange scales and dark, obsidian-colored horns that curve sharply back. She wears several amethysts embedded in the scales around her eyes. Prepared for the harsh climate of the Ice Kingdom, she wears a heavy, grey fur-lined cloak with a thick white trim and a protective black face mask. Her front legs are wrapped in grey strips of cloth for support and warmth during her long-term scouting mission.
Personality: Alexandrite is notoriously bad-tempered and prickly. She is a highly capable warrior, but her personality is dominated by a deep-seated desire for recognition. Having served for over a hundred years without achieving a high rank, she is incredibly resentful of "nepotism hires" and those who haven't "earned" their place. She is cynical but remains loyal to her mission and her queen.
Relationships:
Family Tree
Commander Trout: An Icewing commander. Alexandrite loathes him, viewing him as the embodiment of everything wrong with military hierarchy since he gained his rank through royal blood rather than merit.
Crag & Dune: Her current mission partners.
Commander Eagle: Her former commander.
Queen Pyrope: Her sovereign. While Alexandrite seeks the Queen's approval and recognition, she remains frustrated by her stagnant rank.
History:
Alexandrite spent much of her long career patrolling the coastline, a monotonous but vital task. Her life took a sharp turn when her unit was ambushed by the Venomwings, a group of Pantalan dragons. Showing tactical presence of mind, Alexandrite escaped the initial fray to summon reinforcements, which successfully drove the invaders off.
When the War of Patience broke out over the Gift of Patience, Alexandrite was thrust into the front lines. Her frustration peaked when she was forced to clash with Commander Trout; seeing a younger, less-experienced dragon hold a higher rank simply due to his relation to the Icewing Queen embittered her further.
Now, three years into the war, Alexandrite has been hand-picked for a covert reconnaissance mission. Tasked by Queen Pyrope to locate the missing Gift, she has traveled to the Ice Kingdom. After splitting from Crag and Dune, Alexandrite successfully scouted the Icewing Palace from a hidden cave. Having spotted her rival, Trout, leading a detachment toward the Sandwing border, she has begun tailing him, hoping this lead will finally bring her the glory she feels she is owed.
