Heavy rain and snow drove Sylvia and York to seek shelter in a cave that belongs to a mountain lion named Luna. Luna, who was expecting a cub, allowed them to stay to wait out the rain despite being wary of the newcomers. The storm lasted for days, and Sylvia and York were present when Luna's cub, Starlight, was born.
